Progressive, straight-shooting books about the world we live in are ignored and attacked in the press and neglected by the book trade.

The John Reed Book Clubs continue the work of the Liberty Book Club founded in 1948. Then as now, we exist for the purpose of bringing people’s books to the large audience they deserve. The John Reed Book Clubs provide an opportunity for friends and neighbors to get together and collectively read a book and discuss its relevance to today’s world.

We select books from New Outlook Publishers which we believe carry out that purpose.
